Chairman, Dr. Sherif Kamel

Dr Kamel is an associate professor of management information systems and the director of the institute of management development at The American University in Cairo. During the period 1992-2001, he was the director of the Regional IT Institute (Egypt) and from 1987 until 1992; he worked at the Cabinet of Egypt Information and Decision Support Centre. In 1996, he was one of the co-founding members of the Internet Society of Egypt. In 2005 he was appointed as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Information Technology Institute (Egypt). Dr Kamel has a number of publications in IT transfer to developing countries, electronic commerce, and decision support applications. He is the associate editor of the Journal of Cases on Information Technology and the Journal of Information Technology for Development. Dr Kamel is a member of the Executive Council of the Information Resources Management Association (US). He is a graduate of London School of Economics and Political Science (UK) and The American University in Cairo (Egypt).

Treasurer, Amr Hamdy

Amr is a Business Development Manager at the Management Center, The American University in Cairo. He holds an Msc in Information systems from London School of Economics and an MA in Economics from the American University in Cairo. Mr. Hamdy is the Vice President of Museum With No Frontiers in Brussels and has been involved in the area of information systems for development in the Arab region and Africa over the past 10 years.

Board Member, Atef El-Metwally Gomaa

Mr Gomaa is a Business Development Manager (SEDCO - ELASTIMOLD EGYPT). He holds a Master Degree in Electrical Engineering from Cairo University, MBA degree from Strathclyde University, Scotland and a professional Certificate in TQM from AUC. He has sixteen years of technical and managerial experience within different multinational companies.
